Airtel ads placed outside a MRTS station in chennai. This would probably be the most prominent MRTS stations because TIDEL park is right front of it.

The cellular phone companies emerged as the top TV ad spenders for 2007. No wonder right? Reliance, bharti, vodafone, and aircel (in tamilnadu)….the list goes on and on.

Internet advertising – home page blocking ad

Some websites open up their entire home page to advertisements. Meaning when you type the site address (say www.agencyfaqs.com for example) you hit upon an ad first instead of the site home page. This trend recently picked up and is put to use in many websites because the site can charge more and the advertiser can get more assured hits.

Storyboard is the slide-by-slide visualization of an entire ad. Typically a story board is created first with the art director’s imagination and then the entire ad will be shot. Here is a sample storyboard (but not the original story board but the ad cut into different pieces as in a storyboard)

What a nice way to present a feature comparison. Good one. Sticks on the mind like a glue. But both the products shown in the ad are black in color. Should Kiwi try to differentiate their product by making it in a different color or shape? Their product is not as distinct as the ad !!
